The 2022 F1 season isn’t an ideal one if you’re a Lewis Hamilton fan. As for the star driver himself, the season isn’t what Hamilton himself must have anticipated. What was supposed to be a fight for the title, is now reduced to the revival of supremacy.

Interestingly, the Brackley-based driver is yet to register a victory this season. Hamilton has had at least one win in every season he participated until 2022. His most recent run to win was in the Netherlands when the Mercedes strategy backfired and he ended up in P4.

Talking about this, the British international stated, “There’s the history of losing the championship last season, not winning for a while and then finally the car feels good and I’m fighting for the lead and chasing them down and then things kind of go against you and there’s back-markers.”

“Every two seconds forward you go three back, so you just never give up, never give up, and then it slips through your hands.”

“It’s gutting, it really hurts. Strange experience for sure. Lots of positives to take from here,” concluded the seven-time world champion as we hear him on the Spotify podcast, ‘Fast & Loose: F1’.

Lewis Hamilton’s title loss to Max Verstappen last year is still fresh in everyone’s minds. Prior to the start of the season, the man from Stevenage pledged to do what was undone in 2021. However, things have gone exactly the opposite of what the 37-year-old driver would have wanted.

The Mercedes driver not only suffered from porpoising issues from the very start of 2022 but also faced unlucky situations, with the Zandvoort race being a prime example.
