Former CEO of the F1 group, Bernie Ecclestone, shared his thoughts on how the F1 world is growing. He shared his views and feelings on watching Vettel go. He also celebrates Max Verstappen and his achievement.

In a recent interview, Bernie Ecclestone talked about watching Sebastian Vettel‘s journey since he was little. Reflecting on those times, he said, “I just miss him – as a racing driver and as a person.”

“He has changed. When I first met him, he was a little boy. Very shy and very polite. Now he’s grown into a real man who knows how to take care of himself, knows what he wants to do, and who goes on and does it. So it’s a different Sebastian, not the same anymore.”

The 92-year-old shared that Vettel was always a closed book, however, that has changed over the years and he was surprised to see him change his mind and attitude regarding his F1 career. He admired the young Dutchman for his straightforward approach to the game. He said that he doesn’t play any games, which is what helps him win race after race.

He said, “Max doesn’t play games. He’s there to win races and win the world championship and he’s doing just that. Nothing is stopping him from doing what he wants to do. Whether he will win more titles depends on whether the team really improves.”
