The current F1 season has seen big ups and has witnessed some big lows as well. Blossoming highs like Max Verstappen rising as the reigning Champion, undoubtedly making him one of the best F1 drivers in history. And big lows like watching another champion, Sebastian Vettel, walk away from the F1 world.

Former CEO of the F1 group, Bernie Ecclestone, shared his thoughts on how the F1 world is growing. He shared his views and feelings on watching Vettel go. He also celebrates Max Verstappen and his achievement.

In a recent interview, Bernie Ecclestone talked about watching Sebastian Vettel‘s journey since he was little. Reflecting on those times, he said“I just miss him – as a racing driver and as a person.”

“He has changed. When I first met him, he was a little boy. Very shy and very polite. Now he’s grown into a real man who knows how to take care of himself, knows what he wants to do, and who goes on and does it. So it’s a different Sebastian, not the same anymore.”

The 92-year-old shared that Vettel was always a closed book, however, that has changed over the years and he was surprised to see him change his mind and attitude regarding his F1 career. More on Vettel, he shared, “He wants to help everyone and the world in any way he can. I just miss him as a person and as a racer.” [Translated from Google]

The Former F1 bossman opened up about the crowd favorite, Red Bull golden boy, Max Verstappen.

He admired the young Dutchman for his straightforward approach to the game. He said that he doesn’t play any games, which is what helps him win race after race.

He said, “Max doesn’t play games. He’s there to win races and win the world championship and he’s doing just that. Nothing is stopping him from doing what he wants to do. Whether he will win more titles depends on whether the team really improves.”

Admiring the teamwork Max and Red Bull showcased, he claimed that there was no stopping him. With his undivided focus, Red Bull will continue to support him, which will result in inevitable wins in the future as well.

In conclusion, he said, “There is no reason why he should not win the next two races as well. So yes, I hope he will have the next record.”
