Lando Norris Exposes The Only Way to Keep Girlfriends Away From Carlos Sainz: “It’s Horrible”

Popularly known as ‘Carlando’, the duo of Carlos Sainz and Lando Norris has one of the most wholesome friendships on the grid. The friendship that started from their McLaren days, is still going strong even after Sainz departed for Ferrari. Often spotted teasing each other on and off the track, the driver duo provides the fans with ample entertainment. On one such occasion, Norris shared the secret of keeping girlfriends away from Sainz!

During one of his live streams, the McLaren driver answered a fan’s query. The fan asked Norris, “My girlfriend has a thing for [Carlos] Sainz. What can I do to make her stop thinking about him?”

Giving the solution to the fan’s problem, Norris said in his stream, “Imagine him with short hair. It’s horrible. Just imagine Carlos with short hair.” With slight disgust on his face, the McLaren driver ended with, “Just doesn’t work.”

Apart from being an F1 driver and a surprisingly good Golfer, Norris is a huge gamer. So it is only natural that he live streams quite often. The 23-year-old usually encounters such questions during his streams.

Lando Norris & Carlos Sainz: A friendship still going strong

Carlos Sainz and Lando Norris paired up in McLaren in 2019. Sainz switched to the Papaya team from Renault and replaced the outgoing Fernando Alonso. On the other hand, Norris joined the team as a rookie. The duo raced together for two years and formed a great bond until parting ways in 2021.

Talking about their friendship in January 2022, Norris told media, including Racingnews365, “We still speak to each other every now and then. I guess maybe not as often or as closely as we were [in the] past couple of years. But no, we’re still mates, we still got along.”

“As much as the rivalry’s probably increased, and he wants to beat me and I want to beat him, and [the] teams want to beat each other, we still just have a lot of respect for each other and who we are as drivers and so on. So I don’t think that takes anything away from who we are, no matter what team we’re in,” concluded the McLaren driver.
