Most would say otherwise and point out Norris’s comments after Ricciardo announced his departure from McLaren. Norris said he did not sympathize with his teammate’s send-off resulting from his poor performance. This would’ve translated to trouble, but the Briton soon cleared the air surrounding his comments.

Lando later explained he was being honest about his feelings, which also gives us a glimpse into the ruthless nature of F1. The Brit made a clarifying statement specifically because some fans started suggesting a rift between the two.
