Lewis Hamilton Once Described His Fatherhood Plans With Simple Four-Word Remark

Do you know which was the strongest pillar that helped Lewis achieve the huge heights of success in his career? It was his father, Anthony, who made all the sacrifices to make his son arguably one of the best F1 drivers. Amidst the rollercoasters of emotions, Hamilton once revealed his fatherhood plans.

Seven World titles, 103 Grand Prix wins and 190 podium finishes sum up the legacy of Sir Lewis Hamilton. Behind these huge milestones is the person who made all the sacrifices to make his son taste success.

The seven-time world. Champion Lewis Hamilton was managed by his father when his career started with McLaren back in 2007. However, the working relationship ended in 2010, which shocked the whole F1 fraternity. On different occasions, the Brit has been vocal about his relationship with his father.

Hamilton once described how his father used to do multiple jobs in order to ensure that his son can reach the pinnacle of motorsports.

He said, “My dad, didn’t want me to struggle, me or my brother to struggle the way he struggled in his life. He’s like I’m gonna do everything, I can to make sure that they live a better life than I did.”

“That’s putting someone else first is a big sacrifice I think you know because we all in general rules about ourselves wanted to be happy and have fresh clothes and feel great and do great things going great holidays have money to spend and my dad was like gonna spend it all on racing and do something do this instead which is quite unusual.”

When asked about his fatherhood plan, Hamilton gave a simple four-word remark, ” Just like my dad.”  
Hamilton’s father has been a constant support throughout his career and when the Brit needed someone after a heart-wrenching defeat at Abu Dhabi GP 2021, it was again his father who supported Hamilton.

He said, “He embraced me, and I think he was like, ‘I want you to know how proud I am of you.’ Having your father embrace you in that way is one of the most profound things ever. Especially as you’ve grown up not many times having that.”

It takes a lot of sacrifices and hard work to make a superstar. Hamilton is still to win a race this year. With two races remaining, he surely will want to win and make his father proud once again.
