Numerically, Lewis Hamilton is approaching the twilight of his career. However, his red hot form has other ideas, especially when talk of his future crops up. After Hamilton won at Catalunya, the question about his future in Formula One came up yet again.
Speaking to a reporter from The Sun, Hamilton said, “There’s still some life in this old dog! I would say I’m more conscious than ever about my body, about my training regime. I’ve been training myself for a long time now but constantly growing and learning how to look after, naturally, the vessel that I’m given and feeling great.
“Contract-wise? Yeah, we never want to be in the position that we were in January, in February.”

So, when would they ideally like for these talks to take place? Hamilton is targeting the mid-season break.
“Hopefully soon we can start, as long as it doesn’t interfere with the actual job. We still have 19 races to do but it would be great to get something in place before the break so then we could, again, be in that break and have a clear picture of the future.”
What else did Lewis Hamilton say about his future?
The Briton confessed that all the speculation threatened his winter, and he even guessed that it gave team boss Toto Wolff a headache. According to him, the winter break should be a time of rest and relaxation. Owing to the speculation and rumor, it did not feel like much of a break.
