Queen Elizabeth II is celebrating an incredible landmark and Lewis Hamilton, among other F1 stars, has congratulated her. The Queen of the United Kingdom is celebrating her platinum jubilee.

Platinum jubilee is a term used when a ruler serves a throne for 70 years. And marking the occasion, the entire United Kingdom is celebrating their beloved Queen.

F1 fraternity congratulates the Queen on her incredible reign

Her platinum jubilee in the service to the throne makes Queen Elizabeth II the first British monarch to achieve this landmark. And this has not gone amiss in the F1 world as well.

We have plenty of Britons on the grid and the most successful one congratulated the queen on his Instagram. During his run back home, the Mercedes pilot confessed his love for London and captured a balcony celebrating Her Majesty. However, Hamilton is not the only individual from the F1 fraternity congratulating the queen.

Former driver Jenson Button also posted on Instagram to mark the occasion. Button shared a photo of him receiving the MBE title from the queen.

Christian Horner was also among the people congratulating the queen. The Red Bull boss shared a photo of Her Majesty with the caption, “Congratulations to HM The Queen on 70 years of incredible service. Enjoy your Platinum Jubilee”

The Alpine F1 team chimed in as well on their official Twitter handle. They tweeted, “From everyone at BWT Alpine F1 Team, we would like to extend our congratulations and well wishes to Her Majesty The Queen on the historic occasion of the #PlatinumJubilee.”

Good wishes pouring in from all across the globe for the beloved Queen Elizabeth II.

The Mercedes duo set for a boost in Baku

The Mercedes Englishmen have started the season with an underwhelming W13. Better performance in Barcelona, as compared to Monaco, is forcing Mercedes to look for a long-term solution. And with the track conditions of Baku, the team could predict continued troubles with the W13.

Because of this, the Silver Arrows are making the W13 suitable to work on a wider range of circuits. Trackside engineer Andrew Shovlin said, “We’re working on areas though to try and improve that ride, try and be able to run the car a bit closer to its optimal window. But we are well aware that in addition to adding base performance to the car we’ve got to make it work over a wider range of circuits.”
