Max Verstappen Amazed at Sergio Perez’s F1 Contract Gaffe as the Mexican Discloses Original Announcement Plans

It is all happy days for the Red Bull F1 team this season. They are leading both championships from Ferrari, with Sergio Perez chasing his teammate Max Verstappen in the driver’s championship.
Another good news is that they have signed an extended contract with both drivers. But Sergio Perez announced his contract signing a bit prematurely amid his Monaco GP celebrations. Recently both he and Verstappen laughed about the goof-up in the Talking Bull podcast.

“That was amazing. When I heard that when you passed by Christian and I saw this camera, I was like ‘Oh God. But it’s done now you have signed it’s okay,” said Verstappen while teasing Checo.
” Yeah, it’s fine. There is nothing to hide, and it was good that it got out,” replied Perez. ” I mean, it was supposed to be released here, but after you have said there,” said the reigning world champion.
“It just made it a bit easier to announce a bit earlier. It was good because if you do it too close to this weekend then everyone is asking,” said The Mexican driver.
Who Owns the Red Bull F1 Team?
As things stand, many, including the former world champion Emerson Fittipaldi, are expecting the Mexican driver to put more pressure on his world champion teammate in the future.

The Mexican driver is currently in a purple patch and is consistently challenging Verstappen throughout the race weekends. Fittipaldi also mentioned that his success he’s a bit of a surprise to everyone and it will put pressure on the Dutch driver.
“Sergio “Checo” Pérez is surprising us. He is in a very strong position. He just signed a new contract for a minimum of two years. And he is running strong now. His position is going to put tremendous pressure on Max Verstappen. He’s going to be a contender for the World Championship alongside Max now,” said ex- F1 champion.
