Max Verstappen Joins F1 Legends With 22K Gold On Flashy New Race Gear

As the 2022 F1 season comes to an end soon, Red Bull has gone out of their way to create special helmets for their drivers, Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez. As Perez’s helmet has more of a Mexican vibe to it, Max’s was made of actual 22-karat gold.
As the reveal of the helmets prior to the qualifying session surfaced, there has been an active dialogue on the subject. The 22-karat gold helmet has put Max on par with legends like Michael Schumacher and Sebastian Vettel, as previously they have also donned gold helmets.

Max‘s gold helmet was made with real gold leaf, which is said to be more expensive than paint and requires a process that is meticulously delicate in nature.
The Dutch Lion couldn’t contain his excitement. He took to his Instagram for the helmet reveal where he mentioned that this shall be the ‘last helmet reveal’ of the season. The Dutchman is said to dawn the gold helmet for the last three remaining races. He shared a detailed breakdown of the helmet prior to the Mexican Grand Prix.
In his Instagram video, he said, “We went for some extra gold, after winning the drivers championship and the team winning the constructors championships. For the remainder of the season, I will be driving with this helmet, which is full of gold leaf. That made it extra special and with the white around it, it looks really cool.”
Even though the current season is yet to come to an end, Verstappen admits having started work on their car for 2023.
Max Verstappen admits that his current focus is on the F1 season 2023
Max Verstappen has been in a good spirit this year as he celebrates a successful season with Red Bull. However, The Dutch Lion admits that even though they have bagged both titles this year, the season had a rather rough start with the car being unreliable.
Ergo, the Dutch Lion now wishes to focus on the upcoming season and make the necessary upgrades on the car so this scenario does not repeat itself.

In an interview, he said, “Of course, we’ll try to win [the last three races], but that naturally comes if the car is in a good state, a good window, that’s what we always try to achieve.”
“Luckily it was again good enough in Austin but here we have to work from zero because it’s a completely new car. That’s the same for everyone but I’m looking forward to it.”
