The Mexican Grand Prix was a bit of a roller coaster ride for Lando Norris. Despite finishing the race strongly at #5, he had to endure a bunch of difficulties in an already challenging race. In a post-race discussion, Norris looked back at one moment in the race that almost gave him a heart attack, that made him anxious during the race.
Starting the race at #17 position, Norris headed into the 2023 Mexican GP with numerous cars to pass by. However, in typical F1 fashion, the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez had quite a few dramas. The main being the safety car being deployed, after a crash by Kevin Magnussen at lap 33, which resulted in a re-start. It is at this re-start that Norris had a heart-sinking moment, leaving him anxious at the time.

After showcasing amazing pace and resilient driver skills, the question arises whether Lando Norris can win at the Brazilian Grand Prix. With his previous results, Norris has recently got to have a resurgence in his confidence. But unfortunately for him, Max Verstappen is still showing no signs of stopping.
Lewis Hamilton, with the Brazilian Grand Prix being somewhat a second home race, is also expected to give his all. However, if McLaren wants Norris to finally get his first win of his career in Brazil, then Max Verstappen has to get unlucky during the start of the race, or maybe a DNF. With his current form, and considering how well the RB19 suits Verstappen, there’s almost no chance of Norris finishing his MCL 60 ahead of the Red Bull, without some luck.
