George Russell in Red Bull fits? Back in 2009 when George Russell was at Silverstone witnessing prime Sebastian Vettel, he did just that. The current Mercedes driver recently shared some brilliant moments with Vettel ahead of his last race coming up in Abu Dhabi. That is when Russell shared his childhood memories.

The young Briton stated that he arrived at the 2009 British Grand Prix wearing his current team’s arch-rival Red Bull’s jumper. As he came to exchange helmets with Vettel before Seb’s one last dance, Russell conveyed, “I was thinking, what I was gonna write on the helmet and I was thinking my first ever race I went to the race, I went to Silverstone 2009.” Vettel was with Red Bull Racing at the time.

All I remember from that start that was you just leading from turn one, and I remember that I remember that picture,” concluded the new Mercedes recruit as they went on to have chats and share moments before Vettel’s last career race in F1.
