Seven world championships, 103 wins, 104 pole positions, 4599.5 total points, and 196 podiums are just the highlights of what Lewis Hamilton has achieved his in Formula 1 career spanning 17 years. That’s right, the Brit has been racing in the premier class for seventeen long years. During this time, as of the 2023 Qatar GP, Hamilton has made 327 race starts. However, unlike the Qatar GP, Hamilton has finished most of the races he’s started. In fact, the statistic showcasing Hamilton’s race consistency is so astonishing that even his ex-nemesis, Nico Rosberg, was in awe during the post-race analysis.

Rosberg and Hamilton became ardent rivals as they fought tooth and nail for the 2016 championship. However, despite Rosberg’s shock retirement from the sport the German has not been out of sight. He has taken over journalistic duties around the sport with Sky. So discussing Hamilton’s crash with George Russell, Rosberg’s colleague, another Sky reporter, revealed an interesting statistic that even left Rosberg in awe.

The Sky Sports reporter revealed something incredible while Hamilton’s right rear damaged rim was on display. He said, “We’ve only seen it out, for starters, six times in what’s been a 17-year Formula 1 career so..” To this, Rosberg said, Can you believe that? The skill? His whole career and he’s only gone out six times in F1.”
