We all know Michael for his 155 podium finishes, 91 Grand Prix victories, and 7 titles. But his former boss, Jean Todt, would probably know him as the powerful spearhead who ended Ferrari’s title drought that had lasted since 1979. When he won the driver’s championship at the Suzuka Circuit, the Red Baron’s Formula One career transformed.

In a recent interview in Paris, Todt said, “We miss Michael. he fights This fight goes on. Michael is a very special person, also for motorsport. He means a lot to me, he’s my friend. I said to Michael on the podium, Michael, our lives will never be the same again. That was the most powerful moment of my career, up there with him on the podium at Suzuka.”

The German legend experienced an accident in 2013 and suffered a serious brain injury. Since then, his family has only permitted a small number of people to meet Schumacher. Jean Todt, one of them, was able to speak with him and get some updates on the German’s condition.

As per SI, Todt, who regularly visits the German, told Radio Monte-Carlo, “Michael is in the best hands and is well looked after in his house. He does not give up and keeps fighting. His family is fighting just as much and of course, our friendship can not be the same as it once was. Just because there’s no longer the same communication as before. He continues to fight.
