Red Bull driver Sergio Perez celebrated his 32nd birthday a few days back with boss Christian Horner and teammate Max Verstappen. Fans saw the three Milton Keynes men engaging in funny banters while celebrating his special day. The team has decided to go ahead with the same driver lineup for the upcoming 2022 season. Consequently, the two drivers have begun with their preparations as well.

Perez first joined the team ahead of the 2021 season, and it turned out to be a dream season for the team. He contributed immensely to the title win of Max Verstappen. The latest example was the exceptional defending against Lewis Hamilton in Abu Dhabi which helped the Dutchman close the gap on him.

However, it is not just his driving that fans love and talk about. The Mexican driver is inviting a lot of attention from his recent tweet. Checo did a promotional tweet for a Mexican tequila brand Patron. To this, his followers immediately took charge and a blast of funny reactions followed.

Twitter reacts to the latest endorsement of Sergio Perez

Perez’s tweet read, No matter where in the world racing may take me, I’m always excited when I get to return home. This time I visited the home of @Patron Tequila to kick off some big moves for 2022. Stay tuned–you’re going to love what we have in store for you #PatronPartner #PatronxChecoPerez.”

To this, one user instantly questioned his choice as a Mexican to endorse this brand. “Don’t stain Checo don’t sell yourself so low! Every good Mexican knows that Tequila Patron is more about marketing than content. I’m surprised that being from Jalisco you like that mother, it doesn’t taste bad but it’s not good tequila either.” (translated via Google translate)
