With just three races left in the season, competition for the constructors’ championship is nearing its endgame. Ferrari and McLaren are battling it out for third place. Former with a P5 and P6 finish in Interlagos now have a 31.5 point lead over McLaren.

However, the Maranello team weren’t always this way. They were under a lot of pressure coming into this season after finishing seventh in the 2020 constructors’ championship. Thus, they made some radical changes in the SF21, expecting to finish best among the rest.

However, Ferrari team principal Mattia Binotto doesn’t believe that it’s their engine that’s helping them beat McLaren this season.
