In response, Horner reassured that everything was going smoothly with Max. He emphasized that Verstappen is working well within the team and is relaxed around everyone in the garage. This positive atmosphere, according to Horner, is reflected in Max’s performance on the track.

“It’s absolutely fine with Max. He’s, you know, he’s working well within the team. There’s no tension. There’s no stress… We don’t see any issues with Max,” said Horner. When asked how he would handle a situation where Max didn’t want to be part of the team before 2028, Horner explained that forcing someone to stay against their will isn’t the right approach, regardless of their role.

“I always said that what is most important is that we work together as a team and that everyone keeps the peace,” Verstappen told Sky Sports.

“I think everyone knows that it’s important to have peace in the team and just focus on the driving aspect and the performance aspect. So that’s what we try to do as a team… So hopefully from now on, that is also fully the case.”
