Max Verstappen and Kelly Piquet are the current and perhaps the only power couple of F1. The two have been together since 2020 and have not left each other’s side since. We see Piquet make appearances on the grid ever so often to cheer her boyfriend and we love to see it. However, have you seen Verstappen declare his love in words and not actions toward his girlfriend? Well, let us show you a side of the Dutchman you perhaps have never seen before.

The F1 side of Verstappen is ruthless, unforgiving and aggressive. We are all very well aware of the Mad Max persona of the Dutchman. However, away from the world of F1 and with his lady, Verstappen is a completely different man. He’s a gentleman and loves pampering his girlfriend and shares a very beautiful relationship with her daughter, Penelope, proof of which we saw very recently.

However, we hardly see this love from Verstappen toward his girlfriend translate into words. Although it did not start like that and this post from 2020 on Piquet’s Instagram is proof of that.

The Brazilian model, as she often does, posted a photo of herself looking absolutely stunning near a body of water. The dim lighting highlighting her beauty in the post is captivating, to say the least, and the caption of the post is equally deep and beautiful. The caption read, “Darker than the ocean, deeper than the sea, you got everything, you got what I need 🖤”

What we, and perhaps anyone, including Piquet, did not expect was a comment from the Dutchman. Still, in the honeymoon phase, the Red Bull man was all lovey-dovey and confessed her love for the Brazilian indirectly with a rare comment. “Together we can face challenges as deep as the sea and as high as sky🔥” commented the Dutchman.

Who would’ve expected the Dutchman to be deep comments on his girlfriend’s post kind of guy? Well, if he doesn’t know for whatever reason, he was. There is clearly a lot of love and appreciation for each other. In fact, this appreciation also comes from Verstappen’s mother as well.

We are all aware of the tumultuous relationship Verstappen’s parents share. The two separated when the Dutchman was still young and are living their separate lives, which are still connected because of their children. Because of this, Verstappen did not have a very straightforward childhood and might’ve felt the absence of one or the other at all times.

After he started dating Piquet, he created his own little family that was by his side. This is exactly the aspect Verstappen’s mother appreciated and credited the Brazilian for.

She said, “Kelly is of course a bit older. She has a little child. They’ve created some sort of a little family. And I think that Max maybe missed that when he was young. And I also think such stability has helped him in F1, as he knows that someone is waiting for him at home.”

“She (Kelly Piquet) also comes from a racing family, So she understands everything. When you see how sweet she is to her child. But also for his sister and for me, he has his heart in the right place.”
