The final race of the 2022 F1 season in Abu Dhabi saw Sebastian Vettel cross the finish line for the last time. After the season-ending race in the UAE, Vettel hung his racing overalls. But before he takes off from the sport, the four-time world champion has one final request to make.

The former Aston Martin driver asked for more transparency in the sport and for them to comply with global standards. As per GPFans, Vettel said, “In general, more transparency, because I think the world is opening up, F1 should follow, should lead, so more transparency.”

More credibility, as I think with all the claims and all the things that we’re saying we’re doing and wanting to do in the future, we need to prove that we are actually doing them, as a sport,” further asserted the former Ferrari driver.

Vettel is undoubtedly one of the most renowned faces when it comes to all things off-track. An ardent advocate for environmental as well as human rights, the man from Germany is a fan favorite.
