Sebastian Vettel Makes His eSports Debut by Doing a Typical Spin Mid Race

At long last, Sebastian Vettel broke and finally joined the eSports map when he joined The Race All-Star Series. In his very first race in Malaysia, he qualified seventh and ran as high as 4th. Unfortunately, his notoriety for spinning extended to the virtual world and he dropped down the order to 19th place.
In his defence though, the chaotic action ended up with another driver tagging him for a spin. Luckily, the German recovered and mounted a massive fightback from 19th. He steadily scythed his way up the order and eventually finished 12th.
In all honesty, it was not a bad performance from the Ferrari driver, considering that this is his debut race. Without that spin, he possibly would have had a decent shot at a podium or maybe even the win.

Among the F1 drivers, where did Sebastian Vettel finish?
Had he finished 4th or higher, he probably would have had bragging rights as the best-placed F1 driver. Instead, that honour went to 3rd-placed Emanuele Pirro. Meanwhile, Vettel finished behind the likes of Jenson Button and Juan Pablo Montoya. Hopefully, this is a sign that Vettel is slowly starting to open up and race online with his contemporaries.
Without a doubt, Charles Leclerc and Pierre Gasly will be delighted, since they begged him to stream with them. Admittedly, convincing Sebastian Vettel to stream races may be a stretch, given that he loves his privacy. However, getting him to race online is a minor victory in itself.

If Sebastian Vettel decides to take part in more races, one can guarantee that he will improve. Who knows, maybe he could start challenging for online wins. Over the past few years, Vettel has endured a bit of a dry spell with fewer race wins with each passing year. Hopefully, if he does start winning online, he could regain his mojo and have it translate onto the real track.
