Sebastian Vettel Promises Aston Martin F1 Glory Following the Arrival of Red Bull Lookalike

The Aston Martin B-Spec car, which is now famously termed as “Green Red Bull” has seemed to deliver on its promise. There was a lot of anticipation to see if the new upgrades on the car would work in Barcelona. 4-time world champion Sebastian Vettel mentioned that he is happy with the car after the two practice sessions in Spain.
The Aston Martin driver mentioned that the performance of the new B-Spec car is much better than the original concept. He specifically pointed out areas such as porpoising, which have improved massively.

“That was a good start for such a new car. I would be satisfied if we started where we left off with the A version. There is a lot more potential in the car. The bouncing has disappeared. We can go deeper now,” said Vettel.

Amidst criticism from everyone, the German driver had defended his team after being labeled “Green Red Bull”. But he revealed that there was a massive push on the base to develop the car.

The former Red Bull driver recognized that the new car is different looking from the original concept which they presented at the beginning of the season. But he praised the hard work of the people in the factory for their efforts in developing new upgrades.
“We know that it’s very different looking car, we’ve had a big push in the factory to make the bits for two cars. The team have worked incredibly hard for many months to bring this for this weekend.”

“So it’s very exciting for us. It’s generally a very different aero package, different philosophy. We believe that it’s the right direction, so hopefully, it goes well out there,” said Vettel.

The upgrades seemed to have worked for the Silverstone-based team and are performing as they expected. Vettel did finish in the Top-10 in the Free Practice 2 at Catalunya. But the team will get an actual picture of their progress once they hit the track in qualifying on Saturday.
The upgrades look to have brought them closer to the midfield from the back of the grid. But let’s see if they can qualify in the Top-10 in Spain.
