“Suffering From Success” Insane Stats Show Lewis Hamilton’s Prowess Goes Way Beyond Championship Discussions
Lewis Hamilton finished one point short of the 2007 World Champion, Kimi Raikkonen, in his rookie season. And the very next year he beat Ferrari’s Felipe Massa to snatch that championship in a Hollywoodish style. While the rookie season set in motion one of the greatest careers of Formula 1, the man had to fight all odds on and off track to be the 7x champion that he is today. Recently the official Instagram account of F1 posted an interesting statistical chart documenting how many wins did it take for the drivers to get their first points, podium, pole, and win.
The Races until first comparative analysis compared the 2023 drivers on how many races they had to participate in before claiming one of the stated achievements. This analysis gave some interesting insights that were both interesting to observe and acted as something to ponder upon. It took the double world champion Verstappen, 24 races to bag the first podium. Also, it took someone like Sainz, who finished ahead of Hamilton on multiple occasions in 2022, just over a hundred Grand Prix, to bag his first podium.

The other aspects of analysis were first points, first pole, and first race win. It was also interesting to observe how Carlos Sainz and Kevin Magnussen had to wait for 140 and 150 races, respectively, in order to get on the stage. All drivers on the list worked their socks off to achieve those feats. The only commonality in those different categories is that Hamilton topped them all. Finishing on points in his first race and standing on the podium is a dream for many. Hamilton topped it off by securing his first pole and first win in just his 6th race.
Why do People Hate Lewis Hamilton?
He is someone who had to fight odds on and off track but still went strong. Hamilton is for sure one of the best rookies the sport has ever seen. If anything, he is the GOAT when it comes to the records. And his fans can’t keep calm.
Fans reacted to official F1 stats and hailed Lewis Hamilton as the GOAT
The official page of Formula 1 posted some statistics on Instagram to stir up some energy before the upcoming season, but the stats are heavily tilted toward the 7x champion. And the fans had a blast.

The fans couldn’t contain their excitement seeing it took Lewis only one race to score his first points and a podium. A Podium on a debut marks a significant achievement, and that is where the tone of the British Knights’s career was set in motion.
