The much anticipated Miami Grand Prix has finally concluded. The race at the Sunshine state saw Max Verstappen take the Chequered flag ahead of his championship rival this season, Charles Leclerc. Meanwhile, the race has been an event to forget for Sebastian Vettel and Mick Schumacher.

The race looked bright for Mick as he anticipated his first-ever career points in Miami. However, a collision with his countryman Vettel killed it for him. Lap 54 saw Schumacher Jr plunge in for space and in order to do so, he hit Aston Martin’s Sebastian Vettel.

The sudden hit enraged the four-times world champion. Seb immediately hit out at Mick on the team radio. The Aston Martin driver yelled, “Which gap was that?! I didn’t see that. Ahhhh that’s it I guess”
Mick, on the other hand, conveyed after the collision, “Nooo, I mean that’s clearly my corner.”

Why did fans react to this hugely?

Mick and Seb are known for their friendly relationship on and off the paddock. The former Red Bull champion has been on good terms with Mick’s father, Michael Schumacher. The hit and the altercation that followed surprised the fans.

Moreover, another Aston Martin driver and Haas driver Kevin Magnussen and Lance Stroll collided in the race. The collision fetched the Danish driver a five-second penalty.
