Mercedes F1 Team Principal, Toto Wolff, has expressed concerns about the number of races taking place in the 2021 season. Already the 2020 season suffered multiple races being canceled or postponed with new venues coming forth to save the season. This season already, Australia has been postponed, China has been cancelled and there were rumors earlier that pointed towards street circuits being cancelled as well.

Toto Wolff is worried for the 2021 season

The Austrian thinks the second half of the season should normalise. He said, “I assume that we will have a reasonably normal season again after the summer.”

He thinks the 23 race calendar will be a massive challenge and would put a lot of pressure on the team. “It will certainly be incredibly difficult for the race team, too.
“We will have three triple headers in a row. You won’t come home for four weeks. That is of course an enormous burden,” the Austrian observed.

Mercedes, Lewis Hamilton & the 2021 season
Mercedes have had a tricky start to the 2021 season. Lewis Hamilton endures without a contract, and rumors don’t paint a very promising picture.
