Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc is one of the most fashionable drivers on the grid. Describing fashion as his passion, the Monegasque has made his love for clothes known. In most cases, it is also the accessories that complement a good outfit, and a good-looking watch helps in doing just that. Formula 1 teams have inked sponsorship deals with some of the biggest watchmakers in the world. 

Much before his stint at Ferrari and Alfa Romeo Sauber, Richard Mille has been behind Charles Leclerc. Charles’s speed and determination immediately drew the attention of the owners of the brand, and they signed him up for sponsorship.  A decade later, Charles seems to be in his best form as he fights it out for the World Championship against Red Bull’s Max Verstappen.

Details about Charles Leclerc’s Richard Mille RM 67-02

Over the years, Leclerc has worn various Richard Mille watches. The most popular being the RM 67-02. He was given a prototype of the watch and it was wrapped in red and white, the colors of his home country, Monaco. Now available to the public, the details of the watch are mind-blowing as it shows excellent craftsmanship and blends with luxury.

The lightness, thinness, and ergonomics make it an incredible watch to wear. It started with the RM 67-01 which then continued onwards with the next version; which weighs only a mere 32 grams. This was all possible thanks to a combination of TPT composite materials, grade 5 titanium, and an elastic band that makes it a very light watch to wear.

Ferrari F1 Receives a Breath of Fresh Air After Rampant Backlash for Disastrous Monaco GP

Sported by athletes around the world, Richard Mille made it possible that each athlete can have it in the flag color of their respective country. Even eight-time world rally champion, Sebastian Ogier, had his own RM 67-02 timepiece. Decked out in red, white, and blue in the colors of the French flag, the watch is very popular among athletes alike.

Costing upwards of $300,000, the price of this piece varies with the version that an individual. One of Charles Leclerc’s prototype watches had been sold at an auction and fetched a hefty $2.3 Million (CHF 2,100,000).

As much as the RM 67-02 is popular in the paddock among the Formula 1 driver, Leclerc has also rocked up another piece in the meantime. Taking another stable from the Richard Mille stable, this time it’s the RM 61-01 ‘Ultimate Piece’ edition. What makes this timepiece truly priceless is that it is no longer in production. To date, only 150 pieces have been made and shipped worldwide.

“Unveiled in 2014, the RM 61-01 is a younger sibling of the tourbillon RM 59-01 worn by Jamaican sprinter Yohan Blake, a member of the Richard Mille family since 2012,” the description reads. “ This ‘Ultimate Edition’ heralds the last issue of this model and its singular lines, this time in Carbon TPT® and Quartz TPT®.”
