Sebastian Vettel has made the switch from the red overalls of Ferrari to the British racing green ones of Aston Martin in 2021. When the team launched its car, the AMR21, on March 3, Vettel was extremely driven to beat the Italian team on the track.
The German will be very eager to bounce back from a horror 2020 in what was his worst campaign since his debut in F1 back in 2007. The 33-year-old will be looking to give a good account of himself in the Mercedes-powered Aston Martin.

In an interview, immediately after Aston Martin launched their 2021 challenger, the AMR21, Vettel was asked if he personally wanted to beat Ferrari, to which he claimed it was a team goal to try to beat them.
“The traffic lights will switch from red to green at some point – hopefully it will stay that way. But whether we are ahead of Ferrari or not, it doesn’t matter. Our unofficial goal is third place and so we have to we’ll be in front of Ferrari.”

Can Aston Martin help the German resurrect his career?
The German will, first and foremost, be hoping that the car drives as good as it looks. He will join a fairly upwardly mobile team that in its previous iteration finally won a race in 2020.
Aston Martin had smartly utilized their development tokens for the 2020 car. This finally helped them in getting fourth in the Constructors Championship. They could also count themselves as unlucky in not finishing third in the standings.
