Scotty James just pulled a Max Verstappen on Daniel Ricciardo. Recall how Max Verstappen wasn’t grateful to Checo for whatever he did in 2022 for him. Well, Daniel Ricciardo played an essential role at James’ wedding. However, he was not nearly as harsh, but was cheeky, and did not actually mean any hurt. Nevertheless, being labeled subpar must hurt, right? Actually no, at least not in the case that we’re going to unfold.

Chloe Stroll tied the knot with professional Snowboarder Scotty James earlier this week. Being the Heiress of Lawrence Stroll and Lance Stroll’s sister, many F1 faces were seen at the wedding, as it almost became a mini paddock. Toto Wolff, Stefano Domenicali, and Daniel Ricciardo were a few of them. However, Daniel Ricciardo was probably not invited by the F1 side of the wedding, but by the Olympian side. 

Scotty James and the HoneyBadger are very good friends. One might even go as far as saying that they’re best friends. Having that Australian connection, Daniel Ricciardo was assigned a very important task for the wedding. Do you want to have a chance to guess what it was? You probably already guessed it, but yes, Daniel Ricciardo was the Groomsman at the wedding. Such an honor to be the best man at your bestie’s wedding. 

However, Scotty James, being an Australian, expected something cheeky from his side. Daniel Ricciardo recently uploaded pictures from the wedding with the caption “Strolling with the James’s 💍”. Scotty James commented on the post and called Daniel Ricciardo “Subpar”. Not for his driving skills, but for his best man skills. The comment read, “Subpar groomsman… but these photos are unbelievable! Love ya bro xx”.

The comment just goes on to show the bond that the two friends share. While James seems to have found his life partner, Daniel Ricciardo is still looking for a seat with an F1 team for next year. The Australian still has something he wants to give back to F1. 

Daniel Ricciardo suggests “there is still some unfinished business”

Daniel Ricciardo will be doing the Pirelli tire test later this year. The Australian hopes for the test to get him back in the groove to join F1 again. The Honey Badger suggests that he has some unfinished business on the track and believes that he still has a lot more to give. This isn’t the end of Daniel Ricciardo.

According to Skysports.com, Daniel Ricciardo said, “I feel like there is still some unfinished business. I’m continuing to do the simulator. I’m going to jump in the car in July to get back behind the wheel. I’m sure that will really stimulate me and give me all those feelings back. Naturally, I’m going to put a bit of pressure on myself for that and try to remind the team that I can still do it. We’ll see where it goes.”
