Without a doubt, Lewis Hamilton has been in the form of his life these past few years. The Mercedes star has rocketed to seven F1 world championships, matching Michael Schumacher. Nobody in their wildest dreams would have imagined that someone would equal that record, and having done that, Hamilton is now on the brink of breaking it this year.
Recently, ex-F1 driver Paul di Resta spoke to Natalie Pinkham about his compatriot. He noted that, as great a driver as he is, age will catch up to Lewis Hamilton. Moreover, he believes that Lewis’ battles with Max Verstappen have brought out the best in him.
The former F1 driver said, “I think it is important for Lewis, I think you’re seeing the true Lewis. You’re seeing his character come out because of how successful he’s been.”

According to di Resta, Lewis Hamilton is vastly different from a few years ago. While he is happily complimenting the likes of Max Verstappen and Lando Norris now, he probably would not have done it a few years ago. The former Force India driver attributed it to his maturity over the years.
Now, the seven-time world champion is looking forward to next weekend’s Monaco Grand Prix. The Briton has won at the Principality on three occasions, twice with Mercedes.
