The new season is approaching rather soon. And with its arrival, the F1 world has begun weighing in their thoughts about the season to come. Who will put up a big fight? Who is likely to win? And one such man to have shared his thoughts on such subjects is the Alpha Tauri team head, Franz Tost.

In a recent interview, Franz Tost shared his thoughts on who is more likely to be dominant in the upcoming F1 season. He strongly believes that Red Bull’s Dutch Lion will still hold his dominant position, whilst having to fight a fierce battle with Ferrari man, Charles Leclerc and the Mercedes’ young lad, George Russell.

To many’s surprise, the Alpha Tauri’s boss favoured Russell over Hamilton. He believes that he is currently in a better place than the Briton-Brazilian.

In an interview, looking back at the season, he said, “Such superiority as shown by Max Verstappen and Red Bull Racing this year is rather rare.”

“[In 2023] I expect a three-way battle between Max, Charles Leclerc and George Russell, who is already stronger than Lewis Hamilton,” he said, in conclusion.

On the other hand, Mercedes is gearing up for the season of 2023 in full force.
