WATCH: Hilarious Video Shows Team Principals Becoming F1 Drivers in an Alternate Universe

Back in 2012, Spanish nurse and F1 fan Adaco, started a Youtube channel called OfficialMinis. Sometimes, he animates and dubs the races as soon as they conclude. In fact, he also animates MotoGP and Formula E races as well. However, with no racing action, he has had to improvise and find new ways to get content. Sometimes, he asks fans and subscribers to pitch some story ideas to animate.

His most recent video was a Mini ‘What If’ story, whereF1  team principals took over as the drivers. Of course, it was absolutely hilarious, and filled with jokes that most F1 fans would understand.

Which F1 team bosses featured in the video?

First up was Red Bull motorsport advisor, Dr Helmut Marko, who received karmic justice courtesy the Alpha Tauri squad. Both Daniil Kvyat and Pierre Gasly formed the Red Bull rejects squad after Marko’s decisions forced them out of Red Bull.

Next on the hit list was Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff. He had to deal with ‘James’ and his ‘fading tyres’. On the other hand, Ferrari’s Mattia Binotto had to contends with a botched pitstop strategy and a rotating Scuderia Ferrari.

Closing out the show was Netflix darling, Guenther Steiner. He ‘fired’ both his drivers and decided to singlehandedly win races. Unfortunately, he got hit and predictably exploded with rage. Naturally, he blamed poor old Romain Grosjean for the accident.

Needless to say, all these little skits always manage to bring out chuckles, especially for anyone who understands the jokes. As of now, F1 fans can only entertain themselves with these little videos or through throwback races and eSports events.

With the coronavirus pandemic sweeping across the world, the 2020 F1 season is not starting any time soon. So, F1 fans are stuck waiting for any positive news. Unfortunately, with races dropping off the calendar like flies, there is a risk of having no races at all.

Former FIA president Max Mosley even suggested that the governing body suspend the entire F1 season. At the rate things are going, F1 fans and the drivers may have to go a full year without any race, though this is under extreme circumstances.
