Formula 1 witnessed a fresh set of faces on the grid in 2019. But the paddock did not know then that these drivers would make F1 so engaging off track. To justify the statement, Lando Norris, George Russell, Alex Albon, and Charles Leclerc did a hilarious video conversation before the start of the race weekend at Sochi.

The video shows the drivers giggling over most parts of the video. Lando Norris is seen using filters on the others, and in doing so, kept laughing while recording.

Similarly, others too recorded such videos and posted them to their social media handles. The four drivers’ friendship off-track is highly appreciated by the fans. This also gives a breath of fresh air amidst such serious fights on track.

Albon termed the four as a “Twitch Quartet” while speaking to Formula 1.

You could call it a Twitch quartet, Charles, George, [Me], and Lando,” said Albon while speaking to F1.” We’re all close, and we have our own relationships in between the four.”

Apart from racing on the track, the drivers gained more followers from streaming videos of them playing video games on Twitch.

It’s no secret that the press is hard, media is hard [but my friends] are always there. We talk about everything; I would say 80% of what we talk about is not to do with racing, it’s to do with… rubbish!”

But he also clears the fact that when it comes to racing, such friendships will not matter. He doubles down on an “Unwritten rule” that says once the helmet is on, there are no friendships.
