After the massive tire saga of the 2020 British Grand Prix, there will certainly be a lot of criticism directed towards Pirelli. This brings back memories of the 2013 British Grand Prix, where the exact same situation unfolded.
Last year, though, there was a hilarious incident during the press conference for the Canadian Grand Prix, and it starred Sebastian Vettel.
Journalist Omar Alvarez from graining.es pitched a question for Vettel, Lewis Hamilton, and Charles Leclerc. Suffice to say, Vettel found the website name rather odd and asked, “Are you sponsored by Pirelli?”

Sebastian Vettel always had a funny bone
Truthfully, the Ferrari driver has always had some hilarious quips and one-liners. Whether it is in a press conference, on the radio, or even in an interview, Sebastian Vettel always finds a way to sneak in a joke or two.
In addition to that, Hamilton is one of the few drivers who truly understands and appreciates Vettel’s brand of humor.

Coming back to the subject of Pirelli, the tire supplier has a week to ensure that the drivers don’t face this situation again. Naturally, last weekend’s race would give the company a massive headache.

Hopefully, for their sake, they get to the bottom of the issue and come up with a solution.
Pirelli and Formula One definitely do not want another slew of tire blowouts for the 70th Anniversary race. Meanwhile, Sebastian Vettel is focusing on delivering as best as he can in his final season with Scuderia Ferrari.
Truthfully, nobody knows if Vettel will be in Formula One in 2021 and beyond. There is a possibility that he may grab a Racing Point seat, but he has to contend with Sergio Perez.
