Christian Horner has been involved in an internal investigation launched by Red Bull GmbH after allegations of inappropriate behavior were made against him by an employee from Red Bull Racing. As the investigation progressed, reports suggested that it was a female employee who made the allegations of what was believed to be controlling and coercive behavior by the Red Bull Team Principal. However, according to the latest report from De Telegraaf, the Dutch morning newspaper that initially made the allegations public, the original accusations made by the female employee were of sexually transgressive behavior.

In its report, De Telegraaf mentioned that the employee has provided the text exchange between herself and Christian Horner to the lawyers overseeing the investigation. These messages, which were obtained by the Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf, reportedly show that Horner sent sexually oriented messages to the employee regularly over a prolonged period. If true, this takes the case much further than simply raising a voice against the management style of a person with power.

The report also mentioned that Horner seemingly tried to conceal the matter. Before the news broke in De Telegraaf on February 5th, Horner’s legal team reached out to the lawyer representing the female employee with a settlement offer when asked for a response on February 2nd. This offer amounted to a substantial £650,000 (approximately $820,000), suggesting an attempt to resolve the issue quietly.
