One of the best-known golfers in the world at the moment is, without a doubt, Jon Rahm. Rahm is the center of attention due to his heroics this season. The Spaniard went on to win three times on the PGA Tour between October and February. The 28-year-old withdrew from The Players after that and lost in the group stage of the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play. Rahm, though, bounced back and triumphed at the Masters. The two-time major champion has recently drawn more attention with his press conference.
The Green Jacket winner is back to play in the PGA Championship, which is much anticipated. Since the Masters, the World No. 1 has unquestionably been the favorite to win this year. Rahm has garnered notice ahead of the event’s start tomorrow with his pre-tournament press conference, in which he draws parallels to the NBA star Giannis Antetokounmpo and Tiger Woods.

Jon Rahm agrees with Giannis Antetokounmpo’s recent viral comments
The Milwaukee Bucks and Miami Heat squared off in the Eastern Conference playoffs of the NBA on April 26. Bucks’ star player, Giannis Antetokounmpo, scored 38 points, but his team lost and was eliminated. The 28-year-old gained notoriety for his comments on not gauging success and failure just by the outcome after the elimination, though.
The current Masters champion was at a press conference prior to the start of the PGA Championship, weeks after this occurrence. The Spaniard was questioned during the news conference regarding his dynamic of success and failure in light of Antetokounmpo’s most recent remarks. Rahm responded to this query by saying that he agrees with what the Bucks superstar said. The two-time major winner said, “I really fully agree with what he said. Especially in golf, as well. Just because you haven’t won something doesn’t mean it’s been a terrible year. That’s kind of what I was saying last year.”
Rahm then gave Woods’ reference and said, “It would be very similar to what Tiger might have said in ’98 in the middle of swing changes. You can’t declare your year a success, you can’t be improving in many parts of your game–in certain aspects it might pay dividends down the future, right? So just because you haven’t accomplished something today doesn’t mean it’s not going to pay off in the future. So yeah, I agree with that, especially in golf. Jesus, you don’t win very often, right, so you’ve got to focus on what the positive is each week, and you can call a lot of weeks a success that maybe public or media wouldn’t think, just because of what’s going on internally.”
All these things only point in one direction. The Green Jacket holder surely is developing his mentality from other golf personalities as well. While the Spaniard is one of the favorites, this press conference has put all the spotlights on him.

This has been a spectacular season for Rahm with four wins already. Since his triumph at Augusta, the 28-year-old is a favorite for the remainder of the season. However, the field at Oak Hill Country Club is fully star-studded. With the 2023 PGA Championship just a day away, Rahm did not participate in the last two events. However, the two-time major winner will surely try to clinch his third major title. A win at the PGA Championship will provide him with an opportunity to complete the career Grand Slam at The Open this summer. The Spaniard started 2023 on a high note with a win at the Tournament of Champions. Since then, Rahm has performed consistently. This led to him winning at the Genesis Open, The American Express Tournament, and finally the Masters.
