Tiger is probably one of the best players in PGA Tour History. His skill at the sport is unmatched. Tiger values his legacy and works hard to make a change. The star player once talked about how success sometimes is not a determinant of his relationship with the children he aims to help through his foundation.

Children as young as them, probably won’t even know the success Woods has achieved. This is a striking fact that amuses even Tiger. Even though Woods’s success was not something expected by his first coach, he has probably achieved more than anyone else in the field of golf.

With all the success Woods has accomplished, he has never let loose of who he is as a person. His humbling personality is one that resonates the most with fans.

As a player, he thinks that what matters more than the number of wins is what you do with the fame. In order to make his legacy actually help people, he established the TGR Foundation.

His foundation equips young people with the tools and support they need to discover their interests, enhance their knowledge and build their own path to personal and professional success.

Talking about how fame is temporary, sometimes. Woods said, “The greatest thing that could happen is to not be remembered. What I mean by that is, the kids right now, don’t know that Michael Jordan played. They see a Jumpman [logo] and they think, that’s so cool … Young kids, really young kids, single digits in age, they have no idea who Michael Jordan was, but the Jumpman logo is cool.

Woods continued, “Now, for me, they don’t understand who that is. In my learning center, kids go through it and they don’t know who I am. They don’t know what I’ve done. But it’s a safe haven for them to learn and grow.”

Tiger and his first coach ever

As a matter of fact, Tiger’s first coach, Rudy Duran did not expect things to turn out for him the way they did when he was younger. Although he did know Tiger was good at the game, he did not expect him to grow up into the “Tiger Woods” he is today.

Rudy was asked during an interview what he expected Woods’s career to be like. He said“I never really had the thought that he was going to change the game. I never thought I could see the future…he is really good…He beats everyone in his age group.”

Tiger strived to prove everyone’s expectations wrong and rose up the stairs of success.
