So what did Woods iterate as his proudest golf record? With so many accomplishments, it was only right for the 46-year-old to state records that were close to his heart.

First up, Woods named his record spell of 36 straight victories in USGA events as one of his proudest achievements. It wasn’t the only record that Woods dug up from his earliest professional moments.

Woods’ third and final proudest record

While the initial two records were set in Woods’ early stages of his vastly experienced golf career, the third one signified his consistency to the core. The 82-time PGA Tour event victor claimed his unbelievable run of 142 cuts made without fail as one of the proudest records in his career.

Credit to Woods, it was a ride that has remained unmatched. He set the record that transcended millennials, between 1998 and 2005. The previous record was set at 113, which Woods obliterated with 142 before falling in the Byron Nelson Classic in 2005.

Woods’ choice of records could be confusing, given he has other records which spark more interest. He has 82 PGA Tour victories, which is the highest of any active golfer. Moreover, he has also won four major championships on the trot, which elevated his status further.

But all things said and done, Woods’ choice is equally commendable and deserves appreciation. After all, he has the sole authority over his records, which has made golf the sport it is.
