Tiger Woods’ comeback on the PGA Tour left everyone stunned. But his mere presence was enough for actor Chris Pratt to be unnerved yet hit the best shot of his life. The Marvel actor recalled his experience with the legendary golfer in the first episode of Sir Nick Faldo’s latest series, ‘18 with Sir Nick’.

The incident occurred at the Genesis Open Pro-Am at the Riviera Golf Course, where Woods was making his much-anticipated comeback to the PGA Tour. Before his golf commitments and infamous tampon controversy, the 47-year-old was present at the Pro-Am ahead of the weekend, where celebrity golfers had a decent outing, including Pratt.

Having stayed out of the game for a long period, the event was a comeback, of sorts, for Pratt himself. “I was really nervous and so I was out on the range early driving the ball and it was just going everywhere,” he said.

Carrying a yellow ball with him to improve visibility, Pratt marched nervously towards the 10th hole for his tee. But there, he came face-to-face with Woods, who couldn’t help but notice the bright-colored ball.

How did Pratt respond back to Tiger Woods?

Having been nagged by the legendary golfer, Pratt was stuck on his response. “My instinct as like an actor, a comedic person is too self-deprecating. My line that came to my head was well it’s going to be a lot easier to find it in the bushes after I hit it,” he said.

But Pratt’s exceptional improv came in handy as he delivered a perfect response. “Instead I said, oh yeah well I don’t have great eyes so if it’s a white ball, I can’t see it past 300 yards,” which clearly caught Woods off-guard.

But could Pratt back up his words with the perfect shot? In his own words, it was one of the best shots of his life. “It just happened to be one of the best, most pure strikes of my life,” Pratt claimed, which also got recognition from Woods himself.

“Tiger looks to me, says 18 handicap… see how he goes sandbagging mo********er… the best day of my life,” Pratt said.
