John Daly was born in Carmichael, California, on April 28, 1966. He was born to his father, Jim Daly and mother Lou Daly. His father worked as a construction worker at industrial plants, the legendary golfer’s mother stayed back home as a housewife. Early on in his life, when John was just four years old, he moved to Dardanelle, Arkansas along with his parents, older sister, and older brother Jamie. 

Having a knack for the sport of golf, John quickly climbed the ladder of success and became a PGA Tour Pro. Showing his impeccable skills, he was famous for his driving distance off the tee. Such a special skill earned him the nickname of ‘Long John.’  Now, coming to his golfing career, two of the major highlights of his career were his PGA Championship win back in 1991.
