Charlie Woods Driving Distance: How Far Can Tiger Woods’ Son Hit the Ball?

Charlie Woods is all set to compete in the 2021 PNC Championship. He will team up with his dad, Tiger Woods, who will be playing his first-ever event since his solo car crash. Meanwhile, this will be their second appearance at the PNC Championship, as they had teamed up last year as well. 

However, Tiger isn’t playing to his capacity, and hence this year, the onus will be on Charlie. Most probably, team Woods will use Charlie’s tee shots this year. As Tiger might not get enough distance off the tee. But how far does Charlie Woods hits his driver? Let’s find out.

What is Charlie Woods’ driving distance?

Charlie Woods is said to be the next big thing in golf. And all the fans around the world want to get to know him as much as possible. However, there isn’t much information available about Charlie’s golf game. Whatever we know is from the 2020 PNC Championship.

So, according to ESPN, last year, Charlie Woods was finding fairways consistently with a driving distance of about 200 yards. The 12-year-old Woods routinely bombed 200 yards off the tee, which is incredible at this age. But, as Tiger Woods revealed at the 2021 Hero World Championship, Charlie has had a growth spurt, and they had to move one tee back.

Hence, this shows that he has gained distance off the tee and can easily cross maybe 220 yards mark. So don’t be surprised to see Charlie bombing a few drives off the tee and finding incredible distances. Furthermore, last year at the PNC Championship, he hit his 3-wood around 180 yards, and from 100 yards, he mostly used a pitching wedge.

So it will be interesting to see how team Woods goes ahead, as once again, the entire focus will be on them. Meanwhile, they will be teeing off with team Thomas, who are the defending champions of this event.
