You might wonder what difference a week can make in someone’s life. But when it comes to golf, a week is usually all it takes for a professional to reach the top of the leaderboard. Not to forget, it was only a week after LIV Golf Adelaide that Talor Gooch became the first back-to-back winner of the season with his Singapore win. Similarly, it only took a week for this admirable golfer to go through experiences that were poles apart in his career. And after his recent Korn Ferry Tour penalty, this was nothing less than a surprise for golf fans to witness.

PGA Tour Pro achieves an unexpected massive milestone

No matter how many times you come across this, it was only almost a week ago when Alejandro Tosti and Wilson Furr were stuck in a puddle at a Korn Ferry Tour event. The golfers apparently had to face two-stroke penalties after they broke a Model Local Rule during the tournament. As per the rules, players are not allowed to use any mode of transportation mid-round. However, probably unaware of the consequences of their actions, the golf stars decided to take a shuttle from the 18th hole to the first tee and hence were penalized.

However, nine days later, both these players are in a position where they can happily boast about their epic return to the course. According to a recent tweet by famous golf journalist Daniel Rapaport, Tosti was invited to play at the Mexico Open. And his performance was spectacular enough to entertain golf fans, and also to help him make $150,000 for his T-10 finish. Moreover, the golfer also got a fixed seat in the upcoming Wells Fargo Championship in May.

The forthcoming mega-tournament at Quail Hollow Club features a huge $20 million purse. And it could prove to be a humongous opportunity for the golf star, who turned pro back in 2018. Although he is way behind most top golfers on the OWGR leaderboard, his recent performance displays surprising potential in him. And it would not be surprising to see him in the top 100 on the OWGR list very soon!

What was Alejandro Tosti’s reaction to his own performance?

Alejandro Tosti, who was in the news for his two-shot penalty at the KFT event, now has a separate fanbase for his Mexico Open finish. And when asked about how it made him feel, here’s what he said: “I’ve been playing really good for a long time…I’m very happy with the overall result, but I’m very proud for the way I hung in there. The beginning was not what I expected…I just kept trying, and I knew good stuff was going to come.”
