Tiger Woods has had one aim in his golf career since he became a pro in 1996. He has been waiting for the day when he will break Jack Nicklaus’s 18 major wins record and win 19 major championships. He has come far from when he first picked up his clubs as a kid.

From that day to now, he has won 15 major championships and is only three major wins away from equalling Nicklaus. However, how he stormed the professional golf world astonished many golfers, including Nicklaus. The skills and techniques of the GOAT golfer made the former golfer question his choices in 2021.

Nicklaus also explained why he did not level up his game then. He said, “I got to be about 40. I tried to up that 18 majors a little bit, but it so happens that my goal was to break Bobby Jones’s record, which was 13.” He attained his goal in 1973, but he did not set any plans to be achieved further in his career. However, he kept playing because he loved golf and won many tournaments. But no milestone was waiting for him after that.
