On her podcast, ‘Playing a Round With Paige Renee,’ talking to her new co-host, Samantha Marks, the ex-pro golfer recently made some heavy revelations about dating. So what is the influencer’s perfect first date? “I think any date that is unique, different, and personalized,” she said.

The Instagram model explained that she loved it when small things like “I really love ice cream” or other things she had just mentioned were incorporated into the dates. “I think that is really, really special,” she said, sounding delighted. To the golfer, clearly, the little things matter. She cares about the fact that the other person listens and remembers the smallest things that may seem insignificant.

But the social media icons’ views don’t match up with today’s dating world. Notably, she had been married for nearly 6 years and had only recently spitting up with her ex-husband, Steve Tinco. In that time, the entire concept of dating has changed, and Spiranac is now a fish out of water. “I’m like, how am I so out on all of this stuff?” she asked, flabbergasted.

Spiranac’s views on present-day dating norms

“I’m a little bit different,” the Instagram star stated. She explained that, while she preferred dinner as a date, drinks had become the norm. “I have heard now that, like a first date, normally it’s just like drinks like you don’t go out and do this whole thing,” she added, confused as to how much had changed in such little time.

She was surprised when she found out the truth about this new-world dating ordeal, and it seems like it’s not her cup of tea. She even revealed about how a friend had to explain to her that “no one does that [dinner] anymore.” Well, that’s not going to help anyone looking win a date with Spiranac, for sure.
