Prominent golf journalist and writer, Alan Shipnuck, has sparked many controversies through his remarks on six-time Major winner, Phil Mickelson. Well, the man has once again gotten the attention of golf fans on Twitter; but this time it’s not for his remarks on Phil, but rather joggers. Bizarre? Well, Alan apparently thinks the clothing item should also be bound by rules. Clearly, the controversial journalist knows how to get the attention of his fans. Alan’s suggestions have generated a lot of discussion, with some people agreeing with Shipnuck’s stance and others disagreeing with it.
Fans react to suggestion of Alan Shipnuck on the Joggers rule
Alan Shipnuck, recently posted a suggestion on his Twitter account. He wrote, “I think joggers should had have a Rule 32: That’s the minimum inseam and maximum age of the person wearing them.” Clearly, with the exception of those over the age of 32 who can wear joggers. Most people believe that Shipnuck’s tweet is humorous and tongue-in-cheek, and they don’t take it seriously.

Fans have had some hilarious opinions on the suggestion given by him. Some people held the opposite opinion, believing that age should not be a barrier until the guys have the physique to carry them off. Others were confident that they could easily pull them off. One handle agreed with Alan’s suggestion that if one fell under the age where they used the word “husky,” then joggers were not meant for them.
No problem with guys wearing them, but I do NOT have the build for it.

Yeah, Sam Ryder and I can get behind this

Perhaps the answer could come in one sentence: “If you lived in an age where they used the word husky, or would fit into that catagory of clothing then you can’t wear these trousers.”

One of the fans thought that people who are fat and short should not be wearing joggers. Although, he said, it is meant for tall and slender people! One of the accounts was of the opinion that golf pants should cover the ankle and meet the shoe. He expressed that either rules should be made for actual pants, or they should even allow shorts.
I love them, if you could pull off the look, I think it's great. I'm short and fat, so I dare not try. The tall and slender fella should fire away🔥

Golf pants should cover the ankle & meet the shoes. Otherwise you may as well allow shorts. Some joggers are near mid calf. Where is the line drawn to say what is considered a pant? Either make the rule actual pants or change the rule to shorts & everything in between.

Speaking about the inseams of the jogger, one of the fans commented that it is a hard thing to regulate. However, the age factor should be curtailed to when one is eligible for a Champions Tour. Whereas, it’s not that everyone cared about the suggestion; some were perfectly okay with joggers as long as they weren’t polyester bell bottoms.
Agreed on the age and inseam. I’m not running, if you see me running, you should run in the same direction, because I’m running from something. As far as the pants, I think they make you look like you have a clown shoes on. I don’t care if you wear them, but I ain’t doing it. 😂

As far as jogger inseams, that’ll be hard to regulate as they are naturally shorter. As far as an age cutoff, they probably need to go when you’re eligible for @ChampionsTour Welcome to golf in 2023 😎

Don’t care, it’s the current trend in clothing at least it’s not polyester bell bottoms that don’t have a belt.
