Brooks Koepka makes strong statements about his LIV Golf career

Koepka, 32, was one of the first players to allegedly ditch the PGA Tour for a lucrative $100 million offer from LIV Golf. However, his decision definitely cost him tons of his fans who withdrew their support after the golfer’s transition. But despite all the hate he received from the golf world, Koepka stood strong by his decision to join LIV. And when asked why he decided to do that, he said, “Just my opinion. My opinion changed…I feel very comfortable with the decision that was made. I’m very happy and I did what was best for me.”

Well, that’s how most players reacted when asked about how they felt after their Saudi move. But when many of them have started to regret their unfruitful choice, Koepka hasn’t changed his opinion a bit! And in his recent statements, the golfer seemed to be indifferent to which Tour he represented. During an interview at a LIV Golf press conference, here’s what Koepka said: “It’s kind of tough to have multiple wins in nine events. I mean if you do, you’re doing something right. Don’t care what tour you play on, where you’re at. If you win twice in nine events, it’s pretty good.”

After his recent appearance in the famous Netflix docu-series Full Swing, Koepka seemed to have lost his confidence after fans saw him in an episode. But no matter what the fans think about him, the golfer seems pretty acquainted at the breakaway league!

As per reports, 18 LIV Golf players have qualified to appear at the Masters tournament this year. And it was after Augusta National made the shocking announcement of letting LIV Golf stars play at the prestigious event. Luckily, Koepka is one of the few chosen ones! Although he is nowhere to be found in the top 50 on the OWGR leaderboard, the golfer got his exemption through his 2019 PGA Championship victory. However, despite his qualification, the decision to participate still lies within the golfer’s hands!
