Every Golfer Can Relate to Collin Morikawa’s Latest Admission

It was nothing but a tournament filled with despair for Collin Morikawa as he struggled during the 2022 Charles Schwab Challenge. He shared his feelings about his performance at the Colonial Country Club with a post on Instagram.

The 25-year-old was struggling to find the rhythm during the Charles Schwab Tournament. Though he made the cut to the final round, he never seemed to reach his full element.

Collin Morikawa stumbles at the Charles Schwab Tournament

Collin Morikawa finished the tournament tied to 40th rank but his stats during the tournament manifested a worse perception of his performance. He finished with only 11 birdies in total and managed 49 par by the final round.

He had a disappointing SG: Putting stat of -3.428 and a total SG of 1.491. However, his SG while approaching towards the green and tee to green seemed quite impressive with 5.626 and 4.919 respectively. He finished with a score of +2 tied to the 40th rank. Sam Burns went on to defeat Scottie Scheffler in a playoff to win the 2022 Charles Schwab Challenge.

Collin was quick enough to send his fans a message about how he felt about his performance at Charles Schwab Challenge with a banter-filled Instagram post.

He captioned, “It’s a love-hate relationship with this club,” exhibiting his feelings towards his putting club as displayed in the post.

This was an indirect message towards his poor putting execution at Colonial Country Club. The love refers to the feelings toward the putter while the hate refers to his poor putting stats. Nonetheless, more and more golfers could relate to Collin Morikawa’s struggles with putting.

Collin Morikawa’s struggles with putting 

Collin Morikawa has gathered an infamous reputation in the world of golf for his poor putting ability. It isn’t the first time that Colin struggled while putting. He had similar issues during the 2021 Genesis Invitational, which caught everybody’s attention.

He has been quite open about his putting struggles previously. Despite this, he has two Majors in his name and is still only 25 years of age, which means he still has very sufficient time to improve his putting ability.
