How did the animosity between Koepka and DeChambeau begin?

The earliest origin of the pair being discontent with each other was at the Dubai Desert Classic in January 2019. Taking an indirect swipe at DeChambeau over his slow play, Koepka was left unpleased.

It started out with the to-and-fro of jabs on social media, which were continued in press conferences and media coverage. The fans loved the newfound rivalry in the sport and it soon gained enough traction, something which neither golfer refused to back down on. It eventually culminated in an edition of ‘The Match’, where the two played against each other.
