Greg Norman Sings ‘Amen’ as Fans React to His Brutal Response to Hypocrisy Against LIV Golf

Greg Norman’s recent Twitter post went viral after he highlighted a major publishing house’s take on concurrent “hypocritical” views about LIV Golf. This opinion garnered diverse reactions from the public. Norman did not shy away from being completely brutal in expressing his opinion. He called out the silence regarding the incident’s hypocrisy completely “deafening”. Even though some fans agreed with his take, others had their side of the story to tell.

The PGA Tour and LIV Golf controversy has been a long-standing affair. Even though many would think that an end is visible, things keep adding up to the situation from time to time. A recent article talked about the protests that have surfaced as a reaction to the Saudi-backed league. LIV’s introduction to the world of golf has definitely not been the smoothest of transitions. Mentions were made of the pro golfing league being owned by the Private Investment Fund (PIF) of Saudi Arabia. PIF is a sovereign wealth fund headed by Mohammed bin Salman.

Norman pointed out what he thought to be the “hypocrisy” in the post. On one side, the article in question talked about how LIV Golf’s introduction has prompted changes in the PGA Tour to be made. However, it also mentioned the protests on the involvement of PIF in the matter.

Greg Norman quoted the New York Post article which clarified, “Ever fly on a Boeing airplane? Buy tickets through Live Nation or play Electronic Arts computer games? Use Facebook? They’re all partially owned by the PIF and yet nobody bats an eyelid…”

Norman pointed out the part of the article where they mentioned about how several other massive platforms are owned by the PIF. Yet, there are not many discussions about it. He co-signed the article with an ‘Amen’.
