However, seeing Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson again was no less than a debacle. The two are friends now, but there was a time when they could not see eye-to-eye with one another. The Friday of Ryder Cup week at Oakland Hills witnessed a complete flop show. Not only did the duo lose both tournaments, but they were also completely out of sync. Fred Funk brought back memories of the debacle as he joined this week’s Golf Subpar Podcast. During his interview, he also shared a few gossips.

However, Tiger finally opened up about his experience, and said that. “He was useless! He didn’t help me one shot.”  Funk while narrating the incident, laid emphasis and said, “And that was the year [Mickelson] just switched over to Callaway with all new equipment.” Woods further said, “He was never with us all week, he was always somewhere else testing clubs, testing balls, trying to figure out.According to an article by Golf.com, narrating Tiger’s version, Funk said, “He doesn’t know where the ball is going, he doesn’t know how far to hit it, he can’t keep it on the goal course, he didn’t help me one hole!

Now, the two are not only on good terms with one another, but also best friends. It’s funny how the tables have turned, but isn’t that the beauty of time?
