Tiger made arguably one of the greatest comebacks in golf at the 2022 Masters. Harmon is probably one of the greatest coaches of all time was with Tiger from 1993 till 2004. He coached him for 11 years, and under his guidance, Woods won 34 PGA Tour titles and achieved the Tiger slam in 2001. The golf legend also won eight of his major championship titles with Butch as his coach until they parted ways in 2004.

Furthermore, Butch spoke about what Tiger said to him after he met him last week. He spoke about the same in the episode of the podcast Off Course with Claude Harmon. Butch said, “He came, I saw him walking over. I hadn’t seen him all week. And I saw him walking over from the chipping green. I was on a putting green with Harold, I went over to Tiger and he stuck his hand out to shake hands. I said to hell with that, give me a hug, man. I’m so happy to see you. I said number one, I’m just happy that you’re here.”

He added, “For him to make the cut, I thought was phenomenal,” Butch said, “I didn’t think he’d be able to walk. Seventy-two holes, especially. But he opens with 71, one under par. Are you kidding me? Look, Tiger Woods drives the needle. He’s the man has been the needle for 25 years. 26 years. He’s the man.”

Harmon’s words prove the amount of love for Woods. At the same time, it also shows how well Tiger played at Augusta National.
