The trio of Rory McIlroy, Scottie Scheffler, and Xander Schauffele was not one of the “featured groups” for the opening round coverage, an unexpected decision made by the tournament administrators. Golf enthusiasts were furious about this decision since they thought this group was the most competitive and interesting pairing available. But that is changing now!

Weather-related delays have caused the first round of the Masters Tournament to be postponed, causing significant disruptions. Due to the possibility of thunderstorms and storms, patrons were also not allowed to enter Augusta National, but now the gates will open at 9:30 a.m. The tournament was originally set to begin on Thursday morning but now won’t start until later in the day at 10:30 am, after a 2.5-hour delay.

The unanticipated rain delay at Augusta National has unintentionally benefited the group featuring McIlroy, Scheffler, and Schauffele. As a result, the aforementioned group will now be part of the main coverage, and it has gotten fans excited. The coverage snub might have disheartened the golfers, as their fans must be looking forward to seeing them tee it off at the golf course’s grandest stage.
